Health & Registration

​

1. Do you offer a health guarantee for your puppies?
    Yes. Each puppy comes with a 2-year hip and health guarantee.

2. Can you share the parents’ health testing and medical history?
    Yes. Our breeding dogs are tested for hip/elbow dysplasia, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), and are also Embark tested                    (screening for ~250 genetic disorders). You can view each dog’s results on our “Our Dogs” page.

3. Are the parents AKC-registered, and will the puppies come with AKC registration?
    Yes. All of our dogs and puppies are AKC registered.

4. Does my puppy come with prior vetting (vaccines, deworming, health check)?
    Yes. Our puppies receive veterinary care through our vet, including age-appropriate vaccinations (and other routine care as              appropriate).

Pricing & Deposits

5. How much do your puppies cost, and what’s included in the price?
    Our puppies are typically $3,000–$3,500. Repeat clients receive preferred pricing. Included in the price is a two-year hip and          health guarantee on your puppy which is in writing per your contract, a puppy starter kit with age-appropriate resources when          you pick your puppy up at 8 weeks old, guidance to help you through the puppy's transition to your home and true lifetime                breeder support. You will also be paying for years long investment on our part in pedigree worthy German Shepherds in an              effort to consistently represent the breed well.

6. Is a puppy deposit required to reserve a puppy? Is the deposit refundable?
    Yes. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. We accept deposits prior to and shortly after birth (after an        approved application).

7. When is the remaining balance due?
    The remaining balance is due at pickup, when puppies go home at 8 weeks of age.

8. Do you provide a written puppy contract / sales agreement?
    Yes. We provide a comprehensive puppy contract as well as a deposit contract.

Visits, Selection & Kennel

9. Can I meet the litter and the parents before choosing a puppy?
    We allow buyers to visit and select their puppy at 6 weeks of age in the order of deposits received and after the puppies have          had their first set of shots.

 

10. Do you allow visits or viewing before picking up a puppy? What is your visit policy?
       Yes, viewing and selection take place at 6 weeks, and pickup is at 8 weeks.

11. Can I see where the puppies are raised and their living conditions?
      Yes. During the 6-week visit you can see our kennel accommodations in person. We also share photos and videos of our                  kennel on our Facebook page, especially when we are making upgrades to the kennel.

13. How can I prepare my home before bringing my puppy home? 
      We provide a starter kit and practical suggestions for helping your puppy adjust at home.

14. Do you require an application before placing a deposit?
       Yes. We use a puppy application before accepting a deposit to help ensure each puppy is a great fit.

15. Do you offer ongoing support after adoption, and can we stay in contact?
      Absolutely! We stay in touch with our puppy families and pride ourselves on being very responsive. Many of our clients are              repeat families going back to our early years.
